On October 6th, 2021, Consiliarium hosted a seminar highlighting senior care and insurance benefit options. With 10,000 seniors turning 65 per day, Consiliarium recognizes that employers are needing more assistance in helping their soon to be retirees navigate Medicare as well as supplemental benefit solutions. Further, many individuals in the workforce are helping their parents navigate the challenges of obtaining good care not to mention evaluate the numerous Medicare insurance options.
Mary Rose McBride of LifeSpan spoke on the numerous programs LifeSpan offers to seniors in our community to help in a variety of ways such as personal finance management, home safety assessments, transportation to appointments, advocacy, and so on.
Corinne Hillmon, a Medicare and Individual Product Specialist at Consiliarium Group, provided an overview of how HR offices can refer employees or loved ones of employees to certified Medicare insurance professionals, such as herself, to help them navigate the complex world of Medicare, coverage gaps and supplemental policies. By working with someone like Corinne, HR teams can rest assured that these individuals are receiving accurate, impartial and complimentary guidance during a time these seniors are inundated with marketing collateral from insurance carriers. By working with an independent agent, these individuals can ensure they obtain the right amount of insurance as well as ensure their prescription drugs and personal physicians are covered in network.
